Pho Thin - Noodle Soup - The best Pho in Hanoi

“If you want to enjoy Pho in Hanoi, Come to Pho Thin restaurant - Only Pho with beef”As the suggestion of my tour guide, MR Ha – who is working for asiatravelline company. I found to Lo Duc street, that is long street with many big trees was planted by French. I came there by bus and the bus stop is on the other way of the street. I got off the bus at the bus stop which is in front of the hospital, then walked back to find the No 13 on the billboard. After 10 minutes walking under the sun - lucky day because of the winter season.I walked to the end of the str, but could not see any No13. Then a count back, the fist house on the left is No1 and so on. I saw a house with many motorbikes in front of it - on the vendor. So at the fist time I walked by, I could not walk on the vendor so I had to step down on the street so I did not see the restaurant. Ok, right now I got it. I came in the restaurant. The first thing I saw a cooker with a big pot on the top. Suddenly, a waiter stopped me and say "money" I did not understand. Then she says again, thirty thousand Dong. I say "oh, understand" I show her 50.000d. She refunded me 20.000d. Then she took me to inside and sat on the long wooden char. In 5 minutes a waiter servers me a big bow of Pho with beef I added lemon juice, a litter chili sauce mix them and enjoyed. That is the best Pho I've ever eaten, fantastic and very delicious.Compare with 24 Pho, I prefer Thin Pho than 24 pho. Thin Pho is more delicious and more local, not noisy, clean and more local people come than 24 Pho and cheaper one.

If you ask anyone, other people will come and follow you up to you use the service of one of them. If you have hand phone you should buy a Vietnamese Sim Card - at the lobby of the air port there are some shop selling. One sim card is 100.000dong =5$ = call in 40 minutes domestic phone call.

- Outside of the lobby, there are 3 road for the vehicle. the first road use for the politician, the second road use for taxis, and the last road for pick up the tourists.

How to get rid of the invitation of street vendors in Vietnam?

Travelling to Vietnam we usually meet the local people with some books or some kind of food on their hand invite tourist to buy some thing for them. They always walk along with us and say "buy some thing" or "buy for me".

We are tourist and we want to treat them politely, normally we say "No, thank you" but they still keep walking with us and try invite to buy some thing, some time they knelt down and begged for buying. In that situation, we have to buy some thing for them although, in out mine don't want to buy any thing, and don't have any needs.

So what could we do when we meet the street vendors?

To me, many time I travel to Vietnam, so I have experience to treat them politely but do not have to buy any thing for them. When you meet any street vendors at any where, what ever they invite you, just keep silent, do not say any word to them, do not pay attention to what they are doing. It mean you do not care what they are doing, Keep walking. Be sure that, in few minutes they go away.

How to cross the road in Hanoi

Hanoi is the second biggest city in Vietnam, when you visit Hanoi especially in the old quarter the road is full with motor bikes and cars, the sidewalk is very narrow and the seller show many thing they sell on that and it is difficult to cross the road.

First, standing at the side of the road, street. Watch around, right, left, and right then left few time

Look at the line of the transport move to you (in Vietnam they driver on the right side) face to face with the driver and you guest. When the nearest transportation goes by you then you step the fist step into the road

Keep going one by one, step by step, face to face with the driver. Some time, the driver non stop when you step in front of their car do not worry and never step back... just stand and wait remember that always face to face with the driver of the line moving in front of you.

When the car, the bike or motor-bike comes by you, there is a short space before another one coming, so you should step in and if there is other space keep moving. If not, please wait and do the same up to the other side of the road.

Please remember that, do not jump into the road, do not run to cross the street, never step back or jump back when crossing the street. Always face to face with the driver to guest and know their indent - let you go or not. hopefully some my advice help you safe when travel in Vietnam. good luck!!www.asiatravellines.com
